October 18th and 19th 2008, Rapulè Fair - Fiera del Rapulè
The town of Calosso will host the annual fair dedicated to "rapulè": music, artists, exhibitions and visits to the "crotìn". Take part in the grape harvest!
The "Fiera del Rapulè" is the annual appointment of Calosso, which waits for you on Saturday, October 18th, and Sunday, October 19th, for a wine and food special fair: it will be possible to visit the typical "crotìn", caves hollowed out from tuff in which the best wine is kept. "Crotìn" is also the name of the coins used to eat and drink.
But what does "rapulè" mean?
It is a piedmontese word that come from "rapul", "bunch of grapes". "Rapulè" is the harvesting of the little bunches of grapes that are left after the big harvest.
Wine, food and culture
The wine and food fair will be open on Saturday afternoon, at 5:30 p.m. On Sunday morning you can participate to the harvest, all you need to do is going to one of the "Crota 'd Calos" producers.
Music, artists, exhibitions and shows will be held in the center of the town.
