Monferrato DOC "Notu"
GRAPE VARIETY: Monferrato Rosso is made with grapes of two different grape varieties that are that are crushed, destemmed and vinified together.

In this variety the berries are dark blue and the bunches are compact, pyramid shaped and of average weight. The rows of vines are dense and dark green. Harvest in the second half of October.

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14 % VOL
VINIFICATION: the process of vinification is the traditional one with fermentation on skins. Refining takes place in small oak barrels for at least one year and then in bottle for another year.
COLOUR: garnet red with orange highlights
BOUQUET: spicy
TASTE: The tannins and the complex structure, with its persistant aftertaste, are well balanced by the typical acidity of this wine
BEST SERVED: at 20°C. Uncork the bottle two hours before pouring the wine
ACCOMPANIMENTS: hightly-flavoured roast dishes, game, barbecues, mature cheeses
